Diana McLean & Shay McKay

We’re a clergy couple called to a ministry of spirituality and the arts.  The purpose of Sacred Depths is to help people deepen their connection to the sacred through creativity and contemplation. Our personal theologies are a mix of spiritual humanism, panentheism, divine feminine, and eco-spirituality. We followed very different paths to Unitarian Universalist ministry, and those paths bring a richness to our shared ministry.

Diana is a nearly lifelong Unitarian Universalist and a published freelance writer and poet. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Naropa University in 2009 and a Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in 2016.

Shay is a musician and composer as well as a minister with both parish and chaplaincy experience. She was raised Catholic and found her way to Unitarian Universalism in adulthood, earning a Master of Divinity from Starr King School for the Ministry in 2016.

Both Midwesterners at heart, we have each lived in many places throughout our lives and currently live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a cat, a dog, and lots of books.
